My name is Vanessa and I have been weaving baskets since 2016, shortly after I moved to Cornwall and found willow growing in our garden.

I am passionate about traditional techniques, growing and weaving plant materials into functional and artistic pieces.

As a retired paramedic in the London Ambulance Service, I have swapped busy city life for the calm and relaxing craft of willow weaving. Though, while it is relaxing, it can still be tough to master new techniques.

I belong to the Basket Markers Southwest, Heritage Crafts and The Basketmakers Assocation.
